b. Dec, 4 1866 - d. Dec. 15, 1901 Among Mom's effects was Bride's Book from her wedding. According to that book the parents of Dr. Walter Lumpkin and Minnie Lee Scales were Dr. James Montague Scales and Tallulah Frank Taylor. No dates are recorded.

According to Ancestry.com she previously married a
J. Hugh Walker (age 32) on 24 March, 1922 in Desha, Ark.
Since Mom was born in 1923 - then J. Hugh Walker would have been her father. My grandfather, Ohmer Cadsman Burnside
